Wuthering Waves primarily utilizes a gacha-based monetization model called “Convene.”The banners associated with this model consist of two types: a featured banner and a standard banner. The standard banner consistently showcases five characters, while the featured banner adds one exclusive character available temporarily. It is important to note that players may experience a “loss”in the featured banner if they pull one of the five standard characters instead of the limited-time unit. However, after this occurrence—often referred to as “losing”the 50/50 chance—players will be assured that their next 5-star pull will be the featured character.

This system encourages players to save enough Astrite, ideally enough for two 5-star pulls, to better ensure they obtain the desired featured character.
