The ongoing Old Man and the Whale event in Wuthering Waves invites players to embark on a captivating mission to explore the Riccioli Islands. Accompanied by Phoebe, Rover will navigate this adventure with the aim of mastering fishing techniques under the mentorship of Ahab.
Upon fulfilling various objectives within the Old Man and the Whale questline, players will unlock several side quests across Riccioli Islands. One notable quest is the Woman in Mask mission, which becomes available after the construction of a large boat, facilitated by Queequeg.
How To Start The Woman In Mask Quest
To commence the Woman in Mask quest in Wuthering Waves, players must first accomplish the Old Man and the Whale quest. After its completion, journey to the Port of Riccioli Dock. Engaging with the festivities and conversing with the surrounding crowd, especially near the dancing NPC, will trigger this mission.
Details of The Woman In Mask Quest
The objective of the Woman in Mask quest involves collecting four distinct pairs of fish for Dana. Players will receive requests from her intermittently; each request consists of a pair of fish displayed as silhouettes on a piece of parchment.
Utilize the Index book within the event page for efficient tracking of the needed fish.
Fish Location #1 for Dana
The first pair of fish that Dana requires includes the 32-Tripod Fish and the 23-Stygian Phantom. The Tripod Fish can be consistently found in the waters of Reyes Ruins, while the Stygian Phantom is more elusive and appears around Serene Bay during the nighttime.
To deliver the collected fish to Dana, players should dock their boat close to Dana’s location in Wuthering Waves and press the interaction button by the small gap in the dock to transfer the items.
Fish Location #2 for Dana
After the first delivery, Dana shifts her position to the northeastern part of Riccioli Island. Follow the quest marker to find her, as she will showcase the silhouettes of the 26-Trapper Anglerfish and 25-Seabed Snow for her second request.
Nighttime fishing around Serene Bay is optimal for capturing both fish simultaneously, as the Anglerfish can only be caught after dark, unlike the more common Seabed Snow.
Fish Location #3 for Dana
Upon fulfilling the previous request, Dana relocates to the northeastern shore of Helm Village. To expedite your journey, use the Helm Village Dock as a fast travel point or employ your flying abilities. Upon finding Dana, she will make yet another request, asking for a 28-Sunfish and 29-Legilimens Shrimp from Reyes Ruins, which can be caught at any time of day.
Players can unlock access to Riccioli Islands Docks as a fast-travel waypoint once they achieve Fame level 6 during the Old Man and the Whale event quest within Wuthering Waves.
Fish Location #4 for Dana
In her final location northwest of the Helm Village Dock, Dana will again request a unique pair of fish. For this task, players must locate a 31-Astrite Crab found at Reyes Ruins during the night and a 33-Rainbow Dolphinfish from Serene Bay.
Upon submitting the final fish to Dana, players will be advised by an Onlooker Fisherman to visit Ahab for further insights into Dana’s narrative. To do this, follow these steps:
- Teleport to the Port of Riccioli Dock or a nearby Resonance Beacon.
- Proceed west toward Ahab’s tent.
- Interact with the book placed atop a wooden crate.
Following this course of action will effectively conclude the Woman in Mask quest, rewarding players with 20 Astrite, 20, 000 Shell Credits, 3 Advanced Sealed Tubes, a Fragment of a Mysterious Scripture: Chapter Three, and the coveted Dana’s Mime Achievement.
