Riddle Gate #1: Tang Emperor Palace

Your journey begins at the Tang Emperor Palace, conveniently located near the Palace Hill Shrine. To locate the first Riddle Gate, follow these steps:

  • From the Shrine, face away and turn left to access the rooftop.
  • Descend the ladder, proceed right, and go beyond the red building.
  • The Riddle Gate will be directly ahead at the foot of the stairs.

Upon interaction, you must choose between ‘The winged ascension’ or ‘Feathered Transcendence’; note that there is no option to withdraw after making your selection. Here’s the outcome of each choice:

  • The winged ascension: Unlocks the gate, allowing you to obtain Benediction Sheng – Lasting Alacrity.
  • Feathered Transcendence: Initiates a battle with a Tang Palace Maid (unless previously defeated); no rewards can be claimed from this option.

Riddle Gate #2: Hillswatch

After overcoming Commander Honglan, you’ll awaken at the Reverent Temple armed with the Reverent Temple Key. Use this key on the western door in the courtyard to venture into Cloudspire. Depending on your choice, you will receive one of the following:

  • Challenge the threads of fate: Opens the door for you to collect some Kong Wine and the Bridal Armor set.
  • Follow the course of destiny: Teleports you to Mort Grotto within Cloudspire.

Riddle Gate #3: Cloudspire Outskirts

Upon reaching the Cloudspire Outskirts Shrine, the next Riddle Gate is just around the corner. Follow these instructions to locate it:

  • Exit through the wooden gate to the right of the Shrine.
  • The Riddle Gate will be to your left, but if the gate has not been unlocked, you may need to retrace your steps.
  • Head back in the direction away from the Shrine, turn right, and ascend a small hill.
  • Beware of the archer ahead and inspect the small charred hut to find a ladder leading up inside.
  • After ascending, keep right until you exit through another wooden gate, passing a dog enemy and into a tented campsite with cannons.

If you persist past the cannons and continue right, you will arrive at the wooden gate again, now unlocked. The Riddle Gate lies conveniently to the right of this entrance.

This time, you do not have to make a choice; the door automatically opens for you to acquire Benediction Sheng – Lethal Might.
