WUCHANG: Comprehensive Guide to Tempering Fallen Feathers

In WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, the gameplay experience involves navigating various systems that deepen the engagement, particularly the Tempering feature introduced after defeating your first major boss. This system empowers players to infuse their weapons with unique status effects through items referred to as Needles.

Tempering plays a crucial role in upgrading weapon capabilities and tailoring character builds, making it a vital aspect not to overlook.

Understanding the Tempering System in WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers

Upon conquering the Master Raider, Man-eating Dhutanga, players can access the Tempering feature at any Shrine. The Tempering system is designed to enhance and modify your chosen weapon, allowing for transformative upgrades.

Essentially, Tempering utilizes items called Needles that can be inserted into designated slots known as Acupoints. This process resembles the game’s Benedictions (which function as weapon charms) but offers greater adaptability by enabling the addition of various elements like Burn and Lightning.

There are two categories of Needles: Bone Needles and Stone Needles. Only one Bone Needle can be equipped at any given time, serving as your primary source of Temperance effect. Conversely, Stone Needles can fill the other available Acupoint slots, enhancing your weapon’s effects.

Once you unlock Tempering, you can navigate to the ‘Temper’ menu at any Shrine. Initially, players will find five Acupoints: Yangchi, Huizhong, Tianjiing, Xiaoluo, and Jiaoliao. However, only the Yangchi and Huizhong Acupoints are accessible following the defeat of the Master Raider.

To unlock further Acupoints, players must explore the left branch of the Impetus Repository, specifically the ‘Alteration’ Skill node, by utilizing Red Mercury Essence. The release of the remaining Acupoints is still under review, and updates will be provided as new information emerges.
