“WTA players social media game is unmatched” “Legend behavior” – Fans delighted by Barbora Krejcikova shooting down April Fool’s pregnancy prank
Fans were left in stitches as Barbora Krejcikova cleverly brushed off a fan’s April Fools joke with humor.
In her first tournament of the 2024 season, Krejcikova competed at the Adelaide International 1. However, she suffered a surprising loss in the first round against fellow Czech player Anna Kalinskaya. Despite this setback, Krejcikova did not lose her determination and continued to excel in the Australian Open, reaching the quarterfinals. She then went on to achieve another quarterfinal appearance at the Abu Dhabi Open.
The 28-year-old had been scheduled to compete in the Dubai Tennis Championships, but ultimately withdrew from the tournament due to a back injury. She later informed her fans that she had contracted a severe case of the flu, which would prevent her from participating in any upcoming events for an indefinite period of time.
On April Fools’ Day, there were many prank tweets circulating on X (formerly Twitter). One of them was a joke about Krejcikova revealing her pregnancy.
Despite the fan’s prank, Barbora Krejcikova responded with humor and shared an endearing video of her dog, affectionately calling it “baby number one”.
“Sorry to disappoint but I am still on baby number one.”
This caused fans to burst into laughter as they turned to X to share their reactions, with one fan noting the unparalleled social media skills of WTA players.
“HAHAHAHA wta players social media game is unmatched man,”the fan’s comment read.
Another spectator was amazed by the Czech’s clever comeback and referred to her as a legendary figure.
“NO WAY 😭 what a legend,”the fan’s comment read.
