Introduction of Three New Dungeons

The new dungeons: The End Time, Well of Eternity, and Hour of Twilight, are nestled in the Caverns of Time. Players must complete them sequentially, with the first dungeon, End Time, available to all players at level 85. This dungeon challenges players with battles against dragons and corrupted faction leaders, culminating in a showdown with the deranged dragon Murozond.
In the Well of Eternity, players assume the role of Night Elves in a nostalgic return to a period before Queen Azshara’s exile. Here, they unite with legendary figures like Illidan Stormrage and Tyrande Whisperwind to confront Azshara herself. The journey concludes in the Hour of Twilight within Dragonblight, where players assist Thrall as he battles towards the center of Wyrmrest Temple, paving the way for the climactic confrontation with Deathwing.
An Engaging New Questline
Exclusive to Level 85 Characters
- The Dragonflight reaches out once more for the hero’s assistance.
Players can initiate the new questline from their main faction’s city, which conveniently transports them directly to the dungeons. Those wishing to bypass the initial quest can meet Nozdormu in The End Time to directly start the quest against Murozond.
This quest chain comprises seven stages and features key characters such as Nozdormu, Illidan Stormrage, Chromie from the Bronze Dragonflight, and the former Horde leader, Thrall. These missions not only drive the player towards the Dragon Soul raid but also enrich Thrall’s ongoing narrative as he aspires to become the next Aspect of Earth.

Confronting Deathwing

Since the Cataclysm expansion launched, players across all factions have endured the ramifications of Deathwing’s devastation. This includes navigating treacherous zones engulfed in flames and grappling with the twisted remnants of a once-familiar Azeroth.
Now, players finally have the opportunity to retaliate against the Aspect of Death. They will confront him at the end of the challenging new Dragon Soul raid, where he awaits, guarded by his most formidable eight minions.
Fangs of the Father
An Exciting New Legendary Item for Rogues
- Exclusive quest line available only to Rogues.
The new legendary weapon, Fangs of the Father, introduces an exclusive quest for Rogues in the Dragon Soul raid. At level 85, Rogues can engage in a unique eleven-part, three-stage quest line by speaking to Lord Devrestrasz, located just inside the raid entrance.
This quest line demands extensive exploration and encompasses familiar activities such as stealthy assassinations, with a combination of solo and group quests leading up to the ultimate challenge in the Dragon Soul raid. The culmination rewards players with the sought-after Fangs of the Father. The allure of these daggers lies not only in their power but also in their aesthetic, featuring majestic wings that unfurl when players utilize their Slow Fall ability.
A Fresh Heroic Difficulty Level
Acquire New Currency for High-End Gear
- New rewards can now be earned with an alternative currency.
Previous versions of Cataclysm featured an advanced difficulty level for heroic dungeons, rewarding players with Obsidian Shards, a unique currency exchangeable with a designated Quartermaster in the faction capital. This previous system remains intact for Cataclysm’s dungeons.
Newly introduced is the Elemental Rune Dungeon Protocol Twilight difficulty, which can be activated in select Heroic dungeons. Players can engage this level by interacting with the Mysterious Elemental Device located at the dungeon entrance, allowing them to gear up even if they missed earlier raid tiers.
Alizabal Arrives at Baradin Hold
Introducing a New Boss in an Exclusive Setting
- Defeat the Mistress of Hate in your pursuit to confront Deathwing.
Baradin Hold now features three bosses available for players to challenge weekly. Alongside Argaloth and Occu’thar, the new addition is Alizabal, the Mistress of Hate. She wields devastating powers, including Skewer, Seething Hate, and Blade Dance.
Players can take her on in groups of 10 or 25, with a substantial loot table offering level 397 and 403 gear as rewards. This presents another avenue for obtaining raid-ready gear, complementing the Heroic dungeon runs available at Elemental Rune Dungeon Protocol Twilight difficulty.
