World of Warcraft Unveils Season 1 Checklist in Anticipation of Patch 11.1 Release

Important Notice: World of Warcraft Season 1 Rewards Expiration

  • Exclusive rewards from Season 1 of World of Warcraft will no longer be available once Season 2 commences on March 4.
  • Players have until February 25 to claim pivotal achievements, including the coveted The War Within Spelunker Supreme.
  • However, select rewards like the Web-Wrapped in the Finest Silks meta-achievement will still be accessible.

World of Warcraft has recently posted pertinent information regarding the expiration of Season 1 content related to The War Within. This guide serves as a practical checklist for devoted fans wishing to secure any exclusive rewards before they vanish.

The upcoming Patch 11.1, titled Undermined, is scheduled for release on February 25, marking it as the first significant update of The War Within. Following this, Season 2 will launch on March 4, introducing new raids, Mythic+ dungeons, Delves, and PvP activities.

In preparation for the transition to Season 2, Blizzard has outlined a detailed guide explaining the achievements and rewards that will become unavailable with the conclusion of Season 1. Various milestones will see their availability reduced, with notable examples including:

  • The War Within Season 1: Spelunker Supreme meta-achievement, which can be earned by achieving a 1600 PvP rating, a 2000 Mythic+ rating, or by defeating Queen Ansurek on Heroic difficulty.
  • Numerous PvE and PvP achievements, including the Ahead of the Curve, Cutting Edge, and Hall of Fame achievements associated with Queen Ansurek.
  • Mythic+ Keystone achievements and Delve progression milestones, especially those connected with the challenging Zekvir encounter.

PvP rankings will officially close at 10 PM local time on February 24; therefore, players aiming for these achievements must complete their objectives prior to the launch of Patch 11.1.

While many rewards will be discontinued, players can still earn the Web-Wrapped in the Finest Silks achievement by defeating Queen Ansurek on Mythic difficulty. Additionally, the Ascendant Sureki Skyrazor mount will continue to have the same drop rate until the conclusion of The War Within. After that, its scarcity will increase dramatically. The Malfunctioning Mechsuit mount remains a drop from The Stonevault when reintroduced into the Mythic+ dungeon rotation, and the Zekvir’s Raptorial Spine cosmetic will transition to a rare drop rather than a guaranteed reward from the My First Nemesis achievement.

What Remains Accessible in World of Warcraft: The War Within Season 2?

  • The Web-Wrapped in the Finest Silks achievement will still be obtainable through defeating Queen Ansurek on Mythic difficulty.
  • The Reins of the Ascendant Sureki Skyrazor remain available with the same drop rate from Queen Ansurek until the season’s end, thereafter becoming very rare.
  • The Malfunctioning Mechsuit will still provide drops from The Stonevault during future Mythic+ rotations.
  • The Zekvir’s Raptorial Spine will become a rare drop following the adjustments to the boss encounter.

It is important to note that once these titles, achievements, and rewards disappear, they seldom return to the game. Blizzard has explicitly stated there are currently no plans to offer these rewards through the Trading Post or similar venues. Players keen to obtain these limited-time rewards should act swiftly to secure them before the transition on March 4.
