Turbulent Timeways Timeline
Initially introduced in September 2023, Turbulent Timeways provided five weeks of engaging Timewalking experiences. Players could accumulate a stackable buff, turning into Mastery of Timeways—offering a 20% experience enhancement after completing four Timewalking dungeons. Those who mastered the event received the Master of the Turbulent Timeways achievement and the Sandy Shalewing companion pet.
This time, the Turbulent Timeways event is more extensive, extending over a full seven weeks. Each week will showcase a different Timewalking expansion, kicking off with Mists of Pandaria on January 7 and culminating with Cataclysm in the week of February 18. During these weeks, players can engage in a diverse range of quests, dungeons, and raids typical of World of Warcraft’s Timewalking events, alongside the returning Mastery of Timeways buff.
Detailed Event Schedule
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Players achieving Mastery of Timeways for at least five weeks will unlock the Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement, along with the charming Timely Buzzbee mount. Timewalking vendors for each expansion also introduce new permanent items to their inventories, including Season of Discovery-themed transmogs at the Classic vendor. For those who missed the previous event, the Sandy Shalewing will also be available.
While the World of Warcraft 20th Anniversary event just wrapped up with 11 weeks of Timewalking, the Turbulent Timeways event adds another seven weeks, bringing the total to an impressive 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking content.
Moreover, the timing of the Turbulent Timeways event hints at upcoming developments in World of Warcraft. The final Timewalking campaign ends on February 24, leading to speculation about the release of Patch 11.1, Undermined, likely scheduled for February 25. This alignment suggests a thrilling start to 2025 for players, with the combination of Turbulent Timeways, Plunderstorm’s second iteration from January 14 to February 17, and The War Within’s significant content update looming on the horizon.
