World of Warcraft has announced that players will be able to skip the Undermine(d) storyline starting on March 4, ahead of the release of its final two chapters. Players who complete the narrative on one character will have the convenience of bypassing it on any additional characters by speaking with NPCs Renzik or Paks.
The highly anticipated Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft has launched, inviting players to explore the Goblin city of Undermine. This update, aptly named “Undermine(d), ”continues the unfolding saga of The War Within, showcasing an uneasy alliance between Xal’atath and Jastor Gallywix. Their mission involves the restoration of the Dark Heart, which was significantly damaged in a previous encounter with Alleria.
For those eager to bypass the campaign with their alternate characters, a brief wait is necessary. Community manager Linxy confirmed via forum post that players can initiate this skip after completing the Undermine(d) storyline once. They can then approach Renzik during the “When Opportunity Explodes”quest or chat with Paks anytime afterward. It’s essential to note that this option will only be available after the complete storyline has been finished, including the recently added chapters that will be accessible on March 4.
Steps to Skip the World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 Campaign

- Complete the Undermine(d) campaign at least once within your account.
- The last two chapters will become available on March 4.
- On a different character, speak with Renzik “The Shiv”during the When Opportunity Explodes quest or with Paks at any point thereafter.
Currently, four chapters of the campaign are playable: Trust Issues, Undermine Awaits, Uncovering the Truth, and Breaking the Shackles. The eagerly anticipated final two chapters – Ignite the Fuel of Change and Homecoming – will be playable starting March 4, the latter of which has not yet been accessible during the Public Test Realm phase. Although players gain access to Undermine in the second chapter, completing the Test Run quest in the city allows them to unlock a convenient teleporter to Dornogal for all characters, making it easier for them to engage with the D. R.I. V.E.system and explore new activities without repeating the story.
Additionally, March 4 marks the beginning of World of Warcraft: The War Within Season 2, coinciding with the launch of the Liberation of Undermine raid. This raid empowers players to reclaim the new zone from Gallywix and his minions. While details about the Homecoming chapter remain scarce, it is expected to occur after Gallywix’s defeat in the raid and may introduce a clandestine fifth Cartel within the Undermine Renown faction’s Cartels.
