New Microsoft Copilot Update: Enhanced Features for Windows Insiders
Microsoft is excited to announce the rollout of a significant update for the Copilot application, specifically designed for Windows Insiders. The new version, 1.25095.161.0, introduces two notable features: Copilot Connectors and enhanced document creation functionalities.
Introducing Copilot Connectors
Copilot Connectors is a novel feature that enables users to link the Copilot app with personal and third-party accounts. Supported services include essential platforms such as OneDrive, Outlook, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts. This integration allows users to use natural language commands to access and retrieve valuable information from the connected accounts.
For instance, users can simply ask Copilot to find their school notes from the previous week or pull up a friend’s email address with ease. Below is a visual representation of Copilot Connectors in action:

Activating Copilot Connectors
By default, Copilot Connectors is an opt-in feature. To enable it, users should navigate to Settings > Connectors and select the desired services, including OneDrive, Outlook, Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, or Google Contacts.
Enhanced Document Creation Capabilities
The latest update also significantly improves document creation capabilities. Copilot can now assist in generating and exporting various documents across multiple formats, including:
- Word documents
- Excel spreadsheets
- PDF files
- PowerPoint presentations
Users can simply instruct Copilot to convert specific text into a Word or PDF document, or to transform generated tables into Excel spreadsheets. If a response exceeds 600 words, Copilot provides a dedicated button for directly exporting the content to one of the Office applications:

Gradual Rollout of the Update
While this exciting update is being rolled out to all Windows Insiders, the availability of these features may vary, as Microsoft typically implements gradual rollouts. If you are unable to access Copilot Connectors or the document creation feature, please check back in a few days.
