
Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Build 26100.3321
Microsoft has made the latest Tuesday build available for Windows 11 insiders in the Release Preview Channel. The newly launched build, 26100.3321, includes enhancements to the battery indicator along with various fixes targeting the taskbar, File Explorer, and additional system functionalities.
Key Features and Improvements in Build 26100.3321
The following changes are gradually being introduced to Windows Insiders:
- Battery Indicator:
Now featuring improved icons to indicate your battery status at a glance. A green icon signals that your PC is charging and in optimal condition. A yellow icon indicates that the system is in energy-saving mode, which activates when battery levels drop to 20% or less. A red icon warns that battery power is critically low, necessitating a prompt connection to a power source.
- Taskbar Enhancements:
- New Feature: Users can now share files directly from the jump list accessed by right-clicking compatible applications.
- Fix: Resolved an issue where the system might mistakenly identify a hard disk drive (HDD) as a solid-state drive (SSD).
- Windows Spotlight:
Discover more about your background image with an updated Windows Spotlight feature. The changes include enhancements in icon color and position, now visible at the bottom right of your desktop.
- Lock Screen Features:
Gaining more insight into your lock screen images is now easier with the addition of a “Like”icon feature.
- Narrator Functions:
The Narrator receives new scan mode features for enhanced navigation, allowing users to skip links, jump to items, and access lists more efficiently. Activating Narrator can be done by pressing Windows logo + Ctrl + Enter, then enabling scan mode via Caps lock + Spacebar.
- Game Pass Features:
Subscribers to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass may notice a new referral card on their Settings home page, enabling them to invite others to try the PC Game Pass for free. This feature appears only when accessed through a Microsoft account.
- File Explorer Updates:
- New Option: A snooze or off feature for the “Start backup”reminder is now available within the File Explorer address bar.
- Fix: Performance improvements when loading folders with extensive media files.
- Fix: Issue resolved where entering a URL in the address bar fails to navigate correctly.
- Fix: Address bar visibility issues experienced in F11 full-screen mode.
- Fix: Context menu delay when right-clicking cloud files has been addressed.

Text scaling support has been integrated into the HTML Help Viewer.

Fixed color discrepancies that occurred when using the account manager in mixed light and dark theme modes.

Resolved recognition problems where apps failed to detect connected scanners.
- Audio Stability Improvements:
- Fix: Issue of volume unexpectedly maxing out to 100% after waking the PC from sleep has been resolved.
- Fix: Resolved issues with repetitive mute and unmute sounds.
- Fix: Addressed problems where USB audio devices ceased functioning after the PC was idle.
- GDI+ Fixes:
Resolved color distortion issues that arose after resizing images with GDI+
- Mouse Pointer Settings:
Fixed issues wherein selected mouse colors reverted to default after User Account Control (UAC) prompts.

- Daylight Saving Time (DST): This release now includes support for DST updates in Paraguay.
- OpenSSH Known Issues: Addressed a problem where the service fails to initiate, impacting SSH connections without detailed logging.
- Get Help App: Fixed the issue preventing the application from opening on Windows Server 2025.
- Remote Desktop Fixes:
- Resolved rendering issues that occurred when connecting to certain PCs.
- Fixed instances where the service would become unresponsive.
- Live Captions: Fixed problems where the live captions window would not display upon disconnecting from an external monitor.
