Windows 11 Dev Build 26120.3291 Released with Photo Integration in Windows Search and Additional Features
Microsoft is launching a new preview build, version 26120.3291 (KB5052080), for Windows 11 Insiders within the Dev and Beta Channels. This update brings a range of enhancements, particularly for users utilizing Copilot+ devices. Below are the highlights of what’s included:
Enhanced Copilot+ PC Features
Improved Cloud Photo Search via Windows
We are thrilled to announce the integration of enhanced cloud photo search capabilities in the Windows search box located on the taskbar. Users can now effortlessly find photos saved in the cloud by simply typing descriptive keywords, such as “European castles” or “summer picnics.” This feature allows for a seamless browsing experience, merging local photos stored on your Copilot+ device with related cloud images directly in your search results. Furthermore, the search will also pull up text-based content matching your keywords from cloud files.
To utilize this functionality, ensure that you are signed into OneDrive using your Microsoft account and connected to the internet. It is important to note that if you log in with a work or school account (Entra ID), you will only receive results for text matches, not for photos. Additionally, third-party cloud services are expected to offer support for this capability, with further documentation set to be released soon.
This groundbreaking method of locating cloud content is being rolled out gradually, particularly for users on Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs. Enhanced search results and capabilities will continue to evolve over time. Some features may not yet be available in all regions, but support for AMD and Intel-powered Copilot+ devices is forthcoming. For detailed information, refer to the link provided.
Note: For optimal performance of the improved Windows Search on Copilot+ PCs, it is advisable to physically connect your device for the completion of initial search indexing. You can monitor your indexing status by navigating to Settings > Privacy & Security > Searching Windows.
The following gradual updates are also part of this rollout:
[Recall (Preview)]
The Recall feature is currently in preview for Windows Insiders running Windows 11, version 24H2 on Copilot+ PCs. This build introduces several updates as part of the process to phase out the Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool (MSDT).Links to MSDT troubleshooters in the Control Panel will be redirected to Settings > System > Troubleshoot.

Upcoming Resolutions:
Some users may find that Recall cannot automatically save snapshots, and the setting to enable this feature may not be functional. A fix is in the pipeline.
Recall features can be toggled on or off through “Turn Windows features on or off.”Currently, Recall binaries are being cached on the device while we refine the add/remove functionality.
Should any users encounter a prompt stating “Make sure Recall is saving snapshots” while their settings show snapshots as enabled, simply restarting the device should resolve this.
