Microsoft Unveils New Windows 11 Build for Insiders

Microsoft has rolled out a significant update for Windows Insiders in both the Dev and Beta Channels, labeled Build 26120.3281. This release introduces a series of enhancements aimed at improving OneDrive functionality, Recall features, the taskbar, and various other components of Windows 11.

Key Features and Changes

OneDrive Integration

Seamless Resume from Mobile to PC

The latest update brings an intriguing feature allowing users to effortlessly continue working on OneDrive files from their mobile devices—be it iOS or Android—on their Windows 11 PC with just one click. After unlocking your PC, you will receive a notification if you’ve recently edited a document on your phone, enabling you to return to that file directly in your browser.

Here are important guidelines regarding this feature:

  • Users must log in to OneDrive with the same Microsoft account on both mobile and PC. Note that work and school accounts are not supported.
  • This feature is compatible with several document types, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and PDFs.
  • The OneDrive file must remain open on the mobile device while the PC is locked, and the notification is triggered within a five-minute window.
  • For optimal performance, ensure you’re logged into OneDrive via your default web browser on your PC.

This functionality can be toggled on or off through Settings > Apps > Resume.
