Changelog Overview

Changes and Improvements

[General]

  • This update encompasses a range of minor enhancements and fixes aimed at elevating the overall user experience for Insiders running this build on their devices.

Fixes

[General]

  • Resolved a problem that caused an error message—”Your organization used App Control for Business to block this app” —to appear when users attempted to install certain third-party applications after rolling back from Build 27764.
  • The latest Insider Preview builds in the Canary Channel have tackled key issues contributing to increased rollbacks (notably error code 0xc190010) during upgrades. Be reminded that error code 0xc190010 is a broad code associated with multiple underlying issues. If you continue to face challenges, please submit your feedback using the shortcut (WIN + F) for further investigation.

[Taskbar & System Tray]

  • An underlying issue leading to frequent explorer.exe crashes for some Insiders in the Canary Channel after clean installations or system resets has been corrected.

Known Issues

As with any preview build, some known issues have been identified:

[General]

  • [IMPORTANT NOTE FOR COPILOT+ USERS] If you are transitioning to the Canary Channel on a new Copilot+ PC from the Dev Channel, Release Preview Channel, or retail versions, you may encounter the loss of Windows Hello PIN and biometric sign-ins with error 0xd0000225. To recover access, you can reset your PIN by selecting “Set up my PIN.”
  • The team is currently addressing problems related to accent-colored window borders not displaying as intended, window shadows failing to show, and animation settings being unresponsive even when disabled.
