Windows 11 build 26200.5516 introduces new features including revamped green screen and removal of bypassnro
Overview of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5516
Microsoft has unveiled a significant new preview build for Windows 11, designated as Build 26200.5516, available exclusively to those within the Insider program. This delivery is particularly noteworthy for users utilizing AMD and Intel®-powered Copilot+ PCs, featuring an extensive changelog that enhances usability and performance.
Key Feature Enhancements
Optimized Windows Search for Enhanced Accessibility
Granular Search Capabilities
The latest updates bring improved search functionality to AMD and Intel®-powered Copilot+ PCs, incorporating both traditional and semantic indexing. This dual-indexing approach simplifies discovering documents, photos, and settings. Users can now employ natural language to conduct searches—eliminating the need to recall exact filenames or terminologies. For example, descriptions like “bridge at sunset” or “Europe trip budget” will efficiently yield relevant results. Impressively, these capabilities operate offline, thanks to the robust onboard 40+ TOPS NPU available in Copilot+ devices.
To customize indexing, navigate to Settings > Privacy & security > Searching Windows, where you can select specific locations or enable comprehensive indexing across the entire system.
Currently, the feature supports a variety of languages (including Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish) and document formats such as.pdf, .docx, and images like.jpg/.jpeg and.png. For further insights, click here.
Enhanced Support for Cloud Photos
This build facilitates improved retrieval of cloud-stored photos through enhanced Windows Search. Users can discover images saved in OneDrive or other cloud services simply by typing relevant terms, such as “European castles” or “summer picnics.” The search results will be seamless, incorporating both local and cloud-stored images.
To utilize this feature, ensure you’re signed into OneDrive with a personal Microsoft account. Support for work or school accounts is currently limited to text searches rather than image retrieval, with future updates expected to broaden this capability.
We are eager to continue advancing the search functionalities, and users may notice gradual rollouts within the Insider community.
Innovative Features for Narrator Users
Introducing Speech Recap
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the Narrator experience, we are excited to launch the new speech recap feature. This tool enables users to easily review what Narrator has previously spoken, facilitating quick reference and transcription during usage. Accessing speech recap is straightforward with quick keyboard shortcuts.
You can open the speech recap with the Narrator key + Alt + X to view the last 500 utterances. Additionally, copying the last spoken phrase is simplified using Narrator key + Control + X.
This feature is particularly beneficial for educators working with visually impaired students and professionals requiring real-time transcription. Users can conveniently visualize live transcriptions alongside their tasks, enhancing accessibility and productivity.
Here’s a quick reference for some common Narrator shortcuts:
Control + Windows key + Enter = Toggle Narrator on/off
Narrator key + X = Replay the last spoken content
Narrator key + Control + X = Copy the last spoken statement
Narrator key + Alt + X = Launch speech recap for detailed history
