Windows 11 Preview Build 26220.7051 Released: Key Updates and Features
Microsoft has rolled out the latest Windows 11 preview build 26220.7051 (KB5067115), marking a significant update for users on both the Dev and Beta Channels. Notably, this version aligns with the same 25H2 build, allowing Dev Insiders to transition seamlessly to the Beta Channel without needing to reinstall their operating system. As the developments in the Dev Channel progress, they will likely shift to higher build numbers with potential stability concerns.
New Features in Build 26220.7051
The recent updates focus on enhancing user experience, including:
- Introducing Ask Copilot in the Taskbar
- Enhanced Full-Screen Gaming Experience
- Shared Bluetooth Audio Functionality
- File Explorer Performance Boosts
- General fixes and improvements
Ask Copilot: Your New Digital Assistant
The Ask Copilot feature, newly integrated into the taskbar, transforms how users interact with their PCs. This intuitive tool is designed to assist, guide, and collaborate with users at any moment. By opting in, you gain convenient one-click access to Copilot Vision and Voice, facilitating a more natural method of interaction.
Users can engage via text, voice, or with guided support through Copilot Vision. This tailored experience empowers you to find the information you need, instantly reflecting results as you type. To activate this feature, navigate to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Ask Copilot. You can also set the Copilot app to launch automatically upon login.
Ask Copilot complements Windows Search, allowing users to continue their familiar search experience while exploring this innovative option. Importantly, it employs existing Windows APIs to return applications, files, and settings, ensuring user privacy by not granting Copilot access to personal content.
Immersive Full-Screen Experience
This build expands the previously launched full-screen experience (FSE) to a broader range of handheld devices, building on the initial rollout for ASUS ROG Xbox Ally models. The Xbox PC app paired with FSE provides a streamlined, distraction-free interface tailored for handheld gaming, ensuring smooth task switching and optimized performance by minimizing background processes.

How to Enable Full-Screen Experience
To enable this feature on supported devices, go to Settings > Gaming > Full Screen Experience and select Xbox as the home app. FSE can then be accessed via Task View and Game Bar or configured to launch at startup.
Availability
- Currently available for ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X
- Preview now rolling out for MSI Claw models
- Additional OEMs will support FSE in upcoming months
Introducing Shared Audio Functionality
Windows 11 preview now features shared audio functionality based on Bluetooth® LE Audio broadcast technology. This feature allows users to share audio experiences, enabling two family members to enjoy movies together while on the go or students to share music during study sessions. Begin by selecting the “Shared audio (preview)” tile in quick settings and designating two paired accessories to share audio.
