Windows 11 22H2 appears to be causing issues with Nvidia graphics cards

As suggested in reports, Microsoft released Windows 11 version 22H2 to the public channel on September 20th. You can read all about the exciting new stuff in these articles here. A few days before, some users received an early feature update for 2022 with new devices. The machines shipped with build 22621.521 (KB5017321), which was indeed the 22H2 update, as Microsoft later confirmed.

However, as is usually the case, the new update is not without problems. Last night we reported an issue related to updating to this new feature update. The update process for many ends with an error with the code “0x800f0806”. Fortunately, there are several fixes available, which we have described in this article.

For those who have had time to upgrade, there are other problems for users who have Nvidia video cards installed in the system. There are reports of erratic frame rates and stuttering, as well as lower-than-normal CPU usage in games. Users on the Reddit and Microsoft forums expressed similar opinions.

Luckily for those experiencing these issues, Nvidia has confirmed that it is looking into the matter. Manuel Guzmán, software quality assurance officer at the company, has asked affected users for more feedback on a Reddit thread. If you are reading this article and are experiencing similar issues, you can provide feedback to Nvidia using this form .
