With Season 3 now live for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, concerns among fans about the game’s future are increasing. Developed by Rocksteady Studios, this latest live service title set in the Batman Arkham universe has generated controversy since its release earlier this year, resulting in a declining player base. As it stands, fewer than 200 players are currently active on Steam to experience Season 3.
This situation raises the question of whether there will even be a Season 4 given the underwhelming performance of Season 3. Do the loyal fans of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League need to be concerned about the game’s future? The answer is no. There will be a Season 4. Let’s explore this further.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is confirmed to receive Season 4
The silver lining here is that devoted fans will not be left without new content. According to the official roadmap shared on the Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League social media accounts back in July 2024, Season 4 is indeed scheduled for future release. Provided there are no unforeseen issues that disrupt Rocksteady’s plans, Season 4 will follow after Season 3.
Distinct from other live service games like Overwatch 2, Seasons in this game do not expire, enabling players to have access to all previous content regardless of when they start playing. This approach ensures that newcomers can easily catch up with the available content. What awaits after Season 4 remains uncertain; the roadmap does not extend beyond this point, leaving Rocksteady’s future plans open to speculation.
The “And More”label on the roadmap hints at additional content in development, but it raises concerns: will there be enough players to warrant ongoing investment in new updates? If the current downward trend continues (and it appears it might), Season 4 could potentially be the last significant update. Our review of the game expressed reservations, particularly regarding its repetitive gameplay and lackluster writing. We will have to wait for official announcements to see what the future holds.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
