Will Taylor Swift perform at Travis Kelce’s music festival? Everything we know about popstar’s presence at Kelce Jam
Despite the upcoming off-season camp, Travis Kelce is finding ways to stay occupied off the field.
It was revealed on Tuesday that the Kansas City suburb of Bonner Springs will be hosting Kelce Jam’s highly anticipated return on May 18 at the Azura Amphitheater. Fans can expect live performances from renowned rappers Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, and Diplo at the concert, which is being organized by the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
Despite the fact that his girlfriend, multi-platinum pop superstar Taylor Swift, will be performing at Stockholm’s Friends Arena on the same day as part of her Eras Tour, Kelce will still be seeking her advice on concert organization and presentation. In an interview with the Associated Press, he expressed his determination to learn from her expertise.
“The only thing I can learn from her that translates into how I can perform is just how relatable she is on stage,”Kelce said to AP. “She’s very comfortable. She brings everybody into the room with her. She makes it an intimate setting even though there’s 70,000 people at every show. It’s pretty impressive.”
Travis Kelce: Taylor Swift’s Musical Creativity and Drawing Power Praised
The media tour for Travis Kelce is currently in full swing.
On this day alone, he spoke to both AP and The Hollywood Reporter. In addition, he made time to talk to Entertainment Tonight and couldn’t resist expressing his admiration for Taylor Swift’s never-ending creativity in songwriting.
“She’s so amazing at what she does,”Kelce said. “And to find that creativity to see where she likes to pull things from and just, really, how she listens to music is very eye-opening for me. It’s been fun to hear her take on it.”
Furthermore, he praised her ability to persuade concert attendees to gather at venues, likening it to one of his infrequent international matches.
“The London shows, I think she’s at Wembley eight times, which is mind-blowing that she can do that many shows in one stadium and fill that thing up,”Kelce added. “I played at Wembley once (in 2015 against the Detroit Lions, the Chiefs won 45-10) and I don’t even think we filled that thing up.”
Will Kelce repeat his trip across the Atlantic to see Swift once more, similar to his visit to Argentina during the Chiefs’ bye week? He replied:
“Oh, you know I gotta go support. You know it.”
The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences announced on Tuesday that both him and his elder brother Jason were nominated for Best Sports Podcast for New Heights.
The announcement of the winners is scheduled for April 23, with the event set to occur on May 13 at Cipriani Wall Street in Manhattan, New York City. The host for the evening will be comedian Amber Ruffin.
