Who is ATL Jacob? Cardi B’s Epic Response to Record Producer’s Alleged Twitter Diss

Cardi B recently took to social media to criticize music producer ATL Jacob after he appeared to diss her on X (formerly Twitter) on September 27, 2024. In his post, Jacob shared a screenshot of lyrics from Future’s single “Perkys Calling”:

“These H*es always gettin’ exposed, ain’t got home trainin.’

Jacob, who has made a name for himself working with record labels such as Freebandz, has been recognized for his talents, including winning the title of Producer of the Year from XXL magazine last year. He is also known for producing Nicki Minaj’s hit song, “Last Time I Saw You.”

In response, Cardi B initially reacted with a series of now-deleted posts. She reposted ATL Jacob’s tweet, stating:

“P*ssy a*s b*tch stop playing wit me or ima violate you!!! You a whole man and stay shading me when I don’t even know you. I got a Nikka for you to square up with tho if you really got an issue!! Send your best b*tch.”

ATL Jacob then responded, insisting he did not intend to shade her, saying:

“I quoted a random tweet I seen on my timeline ion kno nun bout yo business.. facts.”

Cardi later retweeted her initial response, further emphasizing:

“I was faithful to this man for 7 years! You never seen my name attached to no other man and before that relationship, I was engaged. Always been a clean slate b*tch so don’t even try to throw HO on BELCALIS… Y’all wish.”

As of now, ATL Jacob has not issued a reply to Cardi’s statements, and further updates are still anticipated.

ATL Jacob’s Extensive Career as a Music Producer

Known as Jacob Denzal Canady, ATL Jacob has had a notable career, particularly with the record label Freebandz. His long-standing collaboration with Future includes the latter’s seventh album, “The Wizrd,”which debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 chart in 2019.

Their partnership began in 2017 when ATL Jacob met Future through Casino, the CEO of Freebandz. Reflecting on their first encounter in an interview with Complex, Jacob recalled:

“I ain’t know Future was there; I ain’t even know it was Future’s session. I was sitting on the couch, and I was asleep ’cause they was recording some of my beats. Future was trying to dap me up, but I was asleep with my hoodie on. He tried to dap me up, and then I just woke up with my hand out, trying to dap him up.”

Previously, ATL Jacob was also involved in rapping as part of a group called Pocketband. He has produced beats for artists signed to Freebandz and collaborated with stars like Young Thug and 2 Chainz. Jacob remembers his musical beginnings in middle school:

“I was in middle school because in middle school I was playing for the high school. And then I stopped. There’s a video of me on YouTube from when I was little, in sixth grade, playing the saxophone.”

Among his notable productions are Kodak Black’s “Super Gremlin”and Future’s “Wait For U.”While specifics about ATL Jacob’s early life remain limited, he has two siblings named Jamaya and Jako.
