The Ancient Arrowhead Treasure Map is part of the exciting treasure hunt quests in Avowed, specifically found in the Galawain’s Tusk area. In a similar manner to other treasure quests, players will first discover a map illustrating a particular spot within the region, guiding them towards hidden treasures. Completing these treasure maps is crucial, as they provide some of the most valuable items in the game. This guide will walk you through both the retrieval and solution of the Ancient Arrowhead treasure map, culminating in the acquisition of the exclusive Scout’s Reach trinket.
Locating the Ancient Arrowhead Map in Avowed

The quest for the Ancient Arrowhead map begins near the entrance of Galawain’s Tusk. This location is also where you can obtain the Mater Mare bounty flier from Solace Keep, which will help you pinpoint the destination. After collecting the bounty, you will have a quest marker to lead you directly to the treasure map’s position.

Your target is the Writhing Ruins, situated near the southern perimeter of Galawain’s Tusk. Look for a considerable beetle’s nest or pit just west of these ruins. At the southwestern edge of the pit, you will discover a skeleton that holds the Ancient Arrowhead map.

After you pick up the map from the skeleton, it will display a location visible from Solace Keep, particularly near the lava cascading down its southern wall.
Before you embark on solving the map, ensure you possess at least three lock picks. These can easily be purchased from merchants located at Warden Tower and Solace Keep.

Solving the Treasure Map – Ancient Arrowhead
The first destination for you is Warden’s Rest, found in The Sallow Steppe region within Galawain’s Tusk. This area features a small hut surrounded by skeletal foes and dead bodies. The hut itself is not the primary focus; instead, head directly east until you reach the cliff’s edge.

From the cliff’s edge, scan the northern area, where you’ll spot Solace Keep in the vicinity of the treasure map. Notably, if you continue looking north, you will quickly realize that your adventure leads you southward. Shift your gaze south while staying along the cliff’s edge to identify a rock formation with a small gap between it and the cliff.

As you traverse the cliff’s edge, maintain your position on the eastern side of the rock. As the path narrows, you will discover a treasure chest emanating a distinctive golden glow. Utilize your three lock picks to unlock it and receive the coveted Scout’s Reach trinket, alongside the following treasures:
- Opal
- Blackwood Branch
- Living Iron Chunk
- Cave Coral (x2)

The Scout’s Reach trinket confers the following advantage:
- +3 Perception
