Teams for Dancing with the Stars Season 33 Disney Night
As previously noted, episode 6 of Dancing with the Stars season 33 is scheduled for October 22, with the theme “Disney Night.” The official synopsis reveals:
“An enchanting evening awaits in the Dancing with the Stars ballroom, where the remaining eight couples will revel in Disney’s magic through vibrant performances inspired by cherished films and characters.”
According to a press release from ABC, the season’s sixth episode will commence with a captivating opening number featuring the lively tune “Friend Like Me” from Aladdin. This performance, choreographed by Mandy Moore, will include a special appearance by Michael James Scott, who portrays Genie in the Broadway rendition of Aladdin.
Each contestant will showcase their own dance routines, but they’ll also engage in competitive dance battles. They will be organized into two teams, each performing an assigned song.
Leading Team Goofs, Ilona Maher will team up with stars Chandler Kinney, Joey Graziadei, and Jenn Tran to perform to “I2I”from the animated classic A Goofy Movie.
Meanwhile, Team Roar, guided by Dwight Howard, will take the stage with “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from The Lion King, featuring participants Danny Amendola, Stephen Nedoroscik, and Phaedra Parks.
The episode will also unveil a first look at a song from the forthcoming animated movie Moana 2. Former DWTS professionals who have exited the competition will present a choreography led by Britt Stewart.
