What positions do the Eagles need to draft? Exploring the Philadelphia team’s needs in 2024 NFL Draft

Despite their late-season collapse last season, the Philadelphia Eagles remain one of the top teams in the NFL.

Two years ago, they were the NFC champions and made an appearance in the playoffs in the previous season.

Despite starting last season with a strong record of 10-1, they ultimately struggled and lost five of their last six regular season games. Their disappointing performance continued into the playoffs as they were eliminated in the first round.

During the off-season, the Eagles made several moves. They acquired RB Saquon Barkley to take the place of D’Andre Swift, who had joined the Chicago Bears. Additionally, they secured linebacker Bryce Huff for a three-year contract and traded linebacker Hasson Reddick to the New York Jets.

They have additionally brought on linebackers Oren Burks and Zack Baun, along with wide receiver Parris Campbell, cornerback C.J. Gardner-Johnson, linebacker Devin White, and wide receiver DeVante Parker.

The team suffered the loss of veteran starting center Jason Kelce due to retirement.

Kelce retired having been selected to the Pro Bowl seven times and named a six-time All-Pro. Cam Jurgens, who served as a backup center and started at right guard last season, is slated to take over for Kelce and return to his original role. Jurgens brings with him 11 starts and 28 games played throughout his career.

Despite the Eagles’ lack of experience and depth, they could potentially improve by selecting a center in the draft.
