She is currently preparing for the debut of “WYN Beauty”, her very own makeup line, which will officially launch on April 7, 2024 at Ulta beauty stores and online.
During a one-on-one interview with Byrdie, Williams revealed the inspiration behind her brand’s creation. She had actually started laying the foundation for it during her professional tennis career. As a 23-time Major champion, she would only have brief moments after her matches and post-match conferences to work on it.
Williams created a speedy beauty routine to ensure she looked her best in the media spotlight, which motivated her to design something for those who were also pressed for time.
“After playing on center court in front of millions of people, I’d have to do press. There was a point where I was talking to the press every single day. I had to figure out how I wanted to show up, but I only had a few minutes after a match to do my makeup,”- Serena Williams to Byrdie magazine.
Williams encountered difficulties while trying to find the right skin tone match. However, she recognized that this is a widespread problem and made it her goal to address it through her beauty brand.
“I would often mix my foundation and sun cream because I couldn’t find a skin tint I loved. I realized that if I’m having this problem, other people are as well,”- Williams added.
Williams’ time as an athlete played a crucial role in the development of these products, making this range both efficient and effective. Furthermore, tennis has also been integrated into the makeup line in another way.
WYN Beauty Launches Chartreuse-Packaged Products in Collaboration with Tennis Star Serena Williams
All WYN Beauty products will come packaged in stylish chartreuse boxes, as a tribute to the yellow-green tennis balls that Serena Williams has been hitting for more than two decades.
The makeup range includes a variety of products, including the “Featuring You Hydrating Skin Enhancing Skin Tint SPF 30″priced at $29. This product is available in 36 shades to cater to a diverse range of skin tones.
In addition to Glideline Longwear Eye Pencil, which costs $19, there is also “Word of Mouth Max Comfort Matte Lipstick”priced at $20. The entire collection, which is vegan and cruelty-free, has been dermatologically tested and Williams is committed to maintaining these standards.
Williams’ second experience as an investor and entrepreneur has been smooth sailing thus far. With the introduction of her new business venture, she is poised to add yet another accomplishment to her impressive list of achievements.
