“What do we have now? Boys with dog children” – Sean Strickland sounds off on men who dote on their dogs

Despite the fact that many men dote on their dogs, Sean Strickland does not approve. In fact, he believes that the intense affection some have for their pet dogs, which he refers to as ‘Tarzan’, is a concerning affliction.

The ex-UFC middleweight champion expressed his frustration about the latest trend on X earlier today. During his tirade, the 33-year-old playfully suggested starting a charity to help dogs who are living on the streets with their owners.

Following his rant, he proceeded to single out Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy for his fixation on his rescue dog, Miss Peaches.

In a subsequent post, ‘Tarzan’ continued to express his disappointment with the current state of America, stating:

“Ok, I went too far… I’m sorry. Your dogs are your kids. I know… I know. As a man who loves his country, I just see the sickness that has infected us. The men before us built a nation, fought world wars, had pride, God. What do we have now? Boys with dog children.”

As the top-ranked competitor in the middleweight division, the former champion is known for his exceptional striking skills and is considered one of the best in the promotion. He has defeated notable opponents such as Israel Adesanya, Jack Hermansson, and Uriah Hall.

In January at UFC 297 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, he was defeated by Dricus du Plessis in a split decision, resulting in him losing the 185-pound belt.

Sean Strickland Claims Victory Over Dricus du Plessis

Sean Strickland, along with numerous others including UFC CEO Dana White, strongly believes that he was unfairly deprived of a victory at UFC 297. As such, he is determined to seek retribution as ‘Tarzan’.

During an interview with The Schmo, the person from California issued a challenge for a rematch to ‘Stillknocks’, stating:

“I never cared about the belt. I still don’t, I just know you didn’t f*****g win. Dana [thought I won] the world thought I won. The striking [stats] thought I won. Just run this sh*t back. Lets f*****g handle it. You beat me fair and square, I’ll f*****g put the belt around your waist.”
