Weekend PC Game Deals: Bundles to defend, Battlefield to try, and a DRM-free spring sale
Weekend PC Game Deals is a curated collection of the most sought-after gaming discounts from various online sources. Updated weekly, this is your one-stop destination for great deals on your favorite games. So sit back, unwind, and prepare to resist the temptation to splurge.
The Humble store released two new bundles this week and our focus will be on the Best of Boomer Shooter collection first.
The bundle contains seven games, including six retro-inspired shooter games and Quake II, all available for a flat rate of $18 with no tiers to navigate. The games included are Ultrakill, Turbo Overkill, Forgive Me Father 2, Quake II, Prodeus, Deadlink, and POSTAL: Brain Damaged – Connoisseur Edition.
The Earth Defense Force (EDF) franchise was also included in a bundle at the same time. The $1 tier includes EDF 4.1 The Shadow of New Despair, while paying $5 adds EDF 4.1 Wingdiver the Shooter. The $12 tier adds EDF: Iron Rain and 18 of its DLC packs. For $18, the final tier includes two more games: the latest entry EDF 5, and a copy of EDF: World Brothers.
During the ongoing spring sale at the Epic Games Store, two more games have been made available for free this week.
The game, Call of the Wild: The Angler, provides players with an open-world fishing experience designed to offer a relaxing atmosphere while catching and releasing various types of fish. It also features cooperative multiplayer for friends to play together. Additionally, Invincible Presents: Atom Eve is a visual novel RPG that follows an original story centered around Atom Eve from the popular TV series. This game boasts branching narratives and turn-based battles between superheroes.
Next week on the Epic Games Store, you can claim the metroidvania Islets for free until March 28. Currently, Call of the Wild: The Angler and Invincible Presents: Atom Eve are also available for free until that date.
Complimentary Events
This weekend, two games are temporarily available for free-to-play. You can easily try them out by creating a Steam account.
The seventh seasonal update for Battlefield 2042, titled Turning Point, has recently been released. This update includes a new map, a variety of new weapons, and other exciting features. In celebration of this event, DICE has made the multiplayer shooter available for anyone to try until March 24.
For a more laid-back gaming experience with friends, consider checking out the free event for the prop-hunt game Midnight Ghost Hunt. This game features a four versus four multiplayer mode where players take on the roles of hunters and ghosts, with the ghosts hiding inside everyday objects to evade capture. However, there are also some unique gameplay elements to keep things interesting.
