“Weak Person and Coward” – Love is Blind Habibi Star Nour Slams Mido for Abandoning Her

The reality dating series, Love is Blind Habibi, debuted on Netflix on October 10. This show centers around singles from Arabian backgrounds who seek partners with whom they can build connections beyond mere appearances.

Nour and Mido were one of the couples who got engaged within the pods, joining other couples on a vacation trip together. They hoped this getaway would deepen their understanding of one another, but by episode 5, their differing personalities led to a breakup.

Mido felt neglected by Nour, suspecting her attention was directed toward Chafic instead. He aimed to address these concerns with her directly.

However, when the moment came for confrontation, Mido abruptly exited the discussion, leaving Nour unheard. She expressed her feelings about this in a confessional:

“He didn’t even give me the chance to speak. He just simply left. From my perspective, if you can’t confront others, then you’re a weak person and a coward.”

Nour and Mido Reflect on Their Relationship Before Parting Ways

Post-engagement in episode 4, Nour and Mido joined the other couples: Amaar & Karma, Chafic & Dounia, and Simo & Hajar, for a vacation celebration. However, festivities soon escalated into a fierce dispute between Chafic and Simo, triggered when Chafic discovered that Simo had informally indicated to Dounia that he knew Nour prior to the show.

The following morning in episode 5 of Love is Blind Habibi, Nour and Mido regrouped to talk about the tensions from the previous day and the current state of their relationship.

Prior to their discussion, Mido shared his feelings in a confessional:

“Nour and I are simply not compatible. Emotionally, she comes off as cold. She expects a lot from me but hardly reciprocates. Now I hope Nour can come and clarify everything once and for all.”

Mido inquired whether Nour had spent the night with Hajar. She explained that she had been upset after the confrontation between Simo and Chafic and that Hajar offered her support, noting their mutual sadness over a strong connection they shared.

In response to her explanation, Mido probed:

“So you were healing each other’s wounds?”

Nour interpreted this as mockery, while Mido insisted he was merely “asking”. As they navigated back to the previous day’s argument, Nour attributed the conflict to “the way Chafic learned about it.”

Mido grew agitated when Nour mentioned Chafic, suggesting there was a budding connection between them. He elaborated on this during their discussion:

“If you think about it, Chafic was the first to receive a gift from Nour. When I met her, there was nothing. The way she talked to him was different compared to how she is with me—very quiet and reserved.”

Stating his views, Mido conveyed to Nour that their personalities clashed significantly, concluding that it would be best to “part ways”to avoid further disrespect.

Nour wished to express her side before he left, but Mido had already made up his mind, walking away and leaving no room for her to respond.
