However, during the audio commentary for the same film, Gunn shared insights that he and Pratt have envisioned a standalone Star-Lord feature centered on his reintegration into life on Earth following a prolonged absence.

With Gunn now leading the DC Universe at DC Studios, his involvement in future Marvel projects seems uncertain. Nevertheless, Gunn has expressed that he doesn’t claim ownership over the Guardians’ characters.
