“We have new technology” – Grizzled veteran Nong-O Hama embraces modern way of training to prolong legendary career

Despite being 37 years old, former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama’s training regimen has been adjusted to include modern techniques, revitalizing his conditioning and bringing new energy to his career. While his best days may be in the past, the Thai legend remains determined and rejuvenated.

In a recent interview with Sportsmanor, Nong-O discussed his use of modern training techniques to prolong his career in the top levels of Muay Thai.

The Hama Muay Thai representative, who is renowned and highly respected, declared:

“I would say that, in the past, I would train in an old-school style. All my instructors, all my teachers, they are old school. I just trained the traditional way that Muay Thai fighters would train. These days, we have sports science. We have new technology to help us train more effectively, and to draw your strength, to draw the positive [traits] from you, and use them effectively. These days, we’re training possibly shorter hours but it’s more effective.”

According to the saying, it is better to train smarter than harder. Nong-O will have the opportunity to put this belief to the test in his upcoming fight.

Nong-O Hama and ‘Left Meteorite’ Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai, both renowned Thai fighters, are gearing up to face each other at the upcoming ONE Friday Fights 58: Superbon vs. Grigorian II. This highly anticipated event will be broadcasted live from the prestigious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium located in Bangkok, Thailand.
