In his time as a forward for the NBA, Udonis Haslem enjoyed great success winning championships with the Miami Heat, particularly during the 2010s when they had their Big 3. These days, Haslem has the opportunity to interview some of his former teammates on his podcast, alongside former Heat player Mike Miller. During a recent episode of “The OGs Show,”Haslem revealed a fascinating promise he made to one of his former teammates.
Despite his departure from the Heat, Haslem’s legacy will continue to be celebrated, as he embodied the spirit and passion of the team. As the experienced leader, he had a keen sense of when to inspire his teammates and when to enjoy their company.
The three-time champion revealed that he and Chris Andersen, also known as Birdman, had formed an agreement to join the WWE. Haslem stated that they had discussed the possibility of teaming up and pursuing a career in wrestling after their NBA days were over. However, despite their retirement, they have yet to take any steps towards fulfilling their aspirations in the world of wrestling.
“Me and Bird was supposed to do WWE when we retire, we was going to be [a] tag team,”Haslem said. “That was the plan, and I ended up playing 20 seasons.
“I can still do it now, we’ll call Triple H… And [Miller] is going to be our hype man.”
Additionally, Haslem emphasized that their motivation is not financial, as their main goal is to secure the tag team championship belts.
In the past, Shaquille O’Neal, Dennis Rodman, and Karl Malone have made guest appearances in wrestling. However, it has never been seen before for two former NBA players to become full-time WWE Superstars. This could potentially make them the first to do so.
