Following a standout performance in his first appearance at ONE Championship, Alexis Nicolas is now determined to put an end to Regian Eersel’s unbeaten record spanning eight years and claim the ONE lightweight kickboxing world title.

On Friday, April 5th, ‘Barboza’ will take center stage as the main event at ONE Fight Night 21, held at the renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. He will face the two-sport king, following his dominant unanimous decision win against Russian standout Magomed Magomedov at ONE Friday Fights 47 in January.

“What a STRATEGY. Can Alexis Nicolas snatch the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Championship from Regian Eersel this Friday at ONE Fight Night 21 on Prime Video.”

Alexis Nicolas enters the competition with an impeccable record of 23-0. Not only does he possess a wealth of experience in winning gold, having previously claimed the ISKA world championship, but he also joined ONE Championship in the latter part of last year.

It is certain that ‘Barboza’ will require more than just experience if he is to break the almost 2,500-day undefeated record of ‘The Immortal’, who is also the current holder of the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world title, on the grand stage of martial arts worldwide.

Alexis Nicolas: A Rising Star in the World of MMA

Alexis Nicholas was raised in the gritty and tumultuous neighborhoods of Paris, France, and at the young age of 14, he stepped foot into a kickboxing gym. Now, ten years later, he is recognized as one of Europe’s top strikers. If he wins at ONE Fight Night 21, he will solidify his place as one of the greatest in the world.

Regardless of whether he emerges victorious or not, ‘Barboza’ remains confident that he has a bright future ahead in his young career.

“Even if I don’t win this, signing a contract with ONE, I will have other opportunities to prove that I’m the best,”Nicolas told ONE. “I’m really proud of the fact that I can actually bring something more — coming from nothing — I will bring more back to France, the title and prestige.”

North American ONE Championship fans can tune into ONE Fight Night 21 live and at no cost during U.S. primetime on Friday, April 5.
