Renowned for being a two-sport world champion, Regian Eersel is currently honing his skills at the prestigious Superbon Training Camp in Bangkok as he prepares to defend his ONE lightweight kickboxing world title.

On April 5th, ‘The Immortal’ will make his long-awaited return to the renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium for a highly-anticipated match against the undefeated French star, Alexis Nicolas. In order to fully prepare for this challenging bout on the world’s largest martial arts platform, Regian Eersel is currently training at one of the top Muay Thai gyms in the world.

“Home of champions. If you want to be the best, come train with the best.”

Superbon, a kickboxing icon, owns and operates an elite training camp in The Land of Smiles. This camp has welcomed numerous Muay Thai legends, such as former ONE world champion Nong-O Hama and the legendary Buakaw, who is known for his mastery of the art of eight limbs.

Eersel’s upcoming title defense against Nicolas comes after an impressive 22-fight win streak that dates back to 2016. This will mark his fourth time defending the lightweight kickboxing championship and his seventh defense overall.

A Promising Start: Alexis Nicolas’ Journey Begins at ONE Fight Night 21

Despite growing up in the rough neighborhoods of Paris, Alexis Nicolas defied the odds and rose from rags to riches. At the young age of 14, he stumbled upon kickboxing, which became his passion. Over the course of a decade, Nicolas established himself as a dominant force in the European kickboxing scene, boasting an undefeated record of 22-0.

Despite facing many challenges, he was able to earn an ISKA world championship title, which ultimately led to him signing a contract with ONE Championship. He successfully made his debut with ONE in January, impressing the audience with his exceptional skills and securing a unanimous decision victory against Magomed Magomedov.

Nicolas spoke with ONE Championship before his first title opportunity and shared:

“Even if I don’t win this, signing a contract with ONE, I will have other opportunities to prove that I’m the best. I’m really proud of the fact that I can actually bring something more — coming from nothing — I will bring more back to France, the title and prestige.”

On Friday, April 5, ONE Fight Night 21 will be available for ONE Championship fans to watch live and for free on Amazon Prime Video during U.S. primetime.
