Heading into Tuesday’s match, Steph Curry and the Warriors (40-34) had secured a four-game winning streak, all of which were away from home, in order to solidify their hold on the 10th and final Play-In position in the Western Conference, creating a gap between themselves and the Houston Rockets (38-37).
Meanwhile, Dallas managed to secure a spot in the top six of the playoff race by winning its last seven games. If the Mavericks continue their strong performance, they will secure an automatic playoff spot and bypass the Play-In phase.
Warriors’ Late Resurgence Brings Joy to Steph Curry
Despite facing challenges on the road, the Golden State Warriors have shown impressive performances as of late, securing four consecutive wins. This is something that NBA superstar Steph Curry takes pride in as they strive for a playoff spot in the final stretch of the season.
After securing a 117-113 victory against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, the four-time NBA champion reflected on their recent streak of wins and its crucial role in their playoff aspirations.
The player selected as the No. 7 draft pick in 2009 stated:
“We did what we had to do… We responded well. The teams we played are the ones you have to win to keep yourself in the fight. We did that. No style points, really, for any of it. But you get out ofehere with four wins and keep the momentum rolling.”
Golden State began their road trip with a defeat against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but they bounced back with wins against the Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Charlotte Hornets, and Spurs.
In his previous five games, Steph Curry maintained an average of 24.2 points, 6.2 assists, and 2.4 rebounds.
