During their preparation for the 2024 Credit One Charleston Open, Ons Jabeur and Paula Badosa had an enjoyable training session together where they determined the serve order through a game of rock-paper-scissors.
Despite their recent struggles, both Jabeur and Badosa have been facing challenges with their performances. Jabeur has been unable to secure more than a single win in any tournament this year, while Badosa has been forced to withdraw from several tournaments due to injuries.
Jabeur and Badosa are both scheduled to participate in the 2024 Credit One Charleston Open, with Jabeur returning as the defending champion. In the previous year’s final, Jabeur emerged victorious over Belinda Bencic in straight sets, while Badosa fell to Jessica Pegula in the quarterfinals.
The Credit One Charleston Open, an event on the WTA 500 tour, has the distinction of being the longest-running professional all-women’s tournament in the United States. Since its inception in 1973, the tournament has been hosted at the Credit One stadium located in Charleston, South California.
The Instagram page for the tournament provided a sneak peek of Jabeur and Badosa’s enjoyable training session, during which they determined the serving order with a game of rock-paper-scissors. The Tunisian emerged as the winner.
“Gotta love this duo 🤩 @paulabadosa and @onsjabeur having some fun in the sun on a glorious afternoon in the Lowcountry!”
After Paula Badosa shared the clip on her Instagram, Jabeur responded by calling her as well.
“Girl 😂❤”
Jabeur, who is seeded second, will begin her campaign against either Paula Badosa or Danielle Collins, the winner of their first-round match.
