In the past year, Shaq has made a name for himself as a DJ. Under the alias “DJ Diesel,”he has entertained audiences across the country, with his most recent performance taking place in Nashville. Despite a brief encounter with police after the show, the Hall of Fame athlete was not involved in any trouble.

Upon exiting the show, Shaquille O’Neal was surrounded by Nashville PD, but it was not for any legal reason. In fact, the police were eager to take a photo with him, just like the excited fans in the crowd. Before departing the venue, Shaq took the time to greet and shake hands with some of the attendees before getting into his car and leaving.

Ever since his days as a player, the LA Lakers icon has held a strong love for music. Prior to pursuing a career as a DJ, he also dropped several hip-hop albums. Even though some may argue that Damian Lillard is the greatest rapper in the NBA, Shaq firmly believes that title is rightfully his.

Currently, Shaq is on tour as a DJ and one of his upcoming stops is in Phoenix, Arizona. He has plans to perform at various locations in Las Vegas later in the summer.

Despite the anticipation of some Nashville residents to witness Shaquille O’Neal’s performance, there were also those who were less enthusiastic. After reaching out to him about his performance, one individual received a humorous response.

Despite being known for his larger than life personality, Shaq’s music performances are equally as lively. During one of his shows, someone Tweeted at him about the volume, claiming that the performance was so loud it was shaking their house.

Despite the post’s request for Shaquille O’Neal to decrease the volume, the former NBA superstar responded. However, his response was not what was expected as Shaq politely informed the person that he had no intention of decreasing the volume.

In addition to following his love for music, DJing has also strengthened Shaq’s bond with one of his children. Myles O’Neal, one of his sons, has also established himself in the music industry.

During a summer interview, Shaq discussed the impact of music on his relationship with Myles. He commended his son’s talents and shared that they frequently collaborate on various projects.

“I’ve seen him perform many times and he’s really good. I’m actually jealous, he’s really good,”Shaq said. “I’m super proud of him because he did it the same way I did it.”
