The developers of Call of Duty Warzone have announced a consolidation of the current playlist effective immediately. On their official X account, Raven Software disclosed that this change is part of the preparations for the upcoming Warzone updates and the launch of Black Ops 6. As such, the Warzone playlist will be narrowed down to specific game modes. The developers also promised to provide updates about the future of Warzone shortly.

Warzone Developers Unveil Official Playlist Through Season 6
The developers have confirmed that the playlist options available until October 17th are as follows:
- Battle Royale Solos & Quads
- Resurgence Duos & Quads
Additionally, all active Limited-Time modes, Plunder, and Bootcamp will be accessible; however, the typical Battle Royale Duos, Trios, and Resurgence Solos and Trios will not be available until Season 6 concludes.
Previously, Raven Software faced criticism for not updating the Warzone weekly playlist last week. With this recent update, it’s evident that the community might not have received the news favorably. Popular content creator JGOD commented,
“There is no way, hahahaha.”
Another content creator, Westie also stated,
“This might be one of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen. You’re essentially sunsetting core branches of your game and giving no real explanation at the time the change is being made. Some added context/information would be wonderful.”
It’s clear that the Call of Duty community is not pleased with this decision. However, one positive aspect of the update is that Plunder is making a return after being removed from the game previously. With limited choices in both Battle Royale and Resurgence formats, it seems that Warzone players may encounter challenges until the release of Black Ops 6 and the next integration.
