Concerns Surrounding False Permanent Bans in Warzone and Ricochet’s Credibility

@zebleerpro shared on their X account that an exploit, involving an “auto-hotkey script“, was discovered that allows individuals to unjustly ban other players in the game. To verify the exploit’s validity, the poster requested the banning of several accounts, and, to their astonishment, those accounts were indeed banned.

@zebleerpro further commented,

“I believe Bobby Poff and numerous others have fallen victim to this exploit, along with countless other COD players, but I do not possess the Activision IDs or information to prove this.”

Well-known streamer BobbyPoff had his original Warzone account banned some time ago, but it was later revealed by @ModernWarzone that he managed to recover his account, attributable to rumors suggesting many players were wrongly permabanned.

Regarding the credibility of Ricochet Anti-Cheat, Activision previously asserted in April 2024 that there were “no false permanent bans”in Call of Duty. However, the unfolding scenario indicates that some notorious streamers have been banned through an exploit. While Activision has yet to address this matter, the circulating rumors are compelling and raise doubts about Ricochet’s reliability in recent years.
