Despite entering March with a 25-34 record and a three-game losing streak, the Rockets have completely turned their season around. They now have an impressive record of 38-35, having won their last 11 games and 13 of their last 14.
As Houston continues its winning streak, fans are increasingly excited about the NBA Play-In Tournament and the team’s chances of securing a spot.
Houston is currently right behind the Golden State Warriors in the standings, as the Warriors hold the 10th spot with a record of 39-34. The LA Lakers, who have a record of 41-33, are also in close proximity, just 2.5 games ahead.

Jalen Green inspires Rockets’ winning streak, says Fred VanVleet
Following their victory against Utah, Rockets’ veteran Fred VanVleet commended Jalen Green for his role in sparking the team’s late-season resurgence.
“He’s been carrying us pretty much since the All-Star break,” VanVleet said. “We trust him and want to keep giving him the ball in his spots and letting him create. He can get hot.”
During Houston’s 11-game winning streak, Green has maintained an average of 30.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists.
Ime Udoka, the coach of the Rockets, stressed the importance of being patient with Green’s development. He acknowledged Green’s struggles at the beginning of the season and pointed out his recent impressive performance.
“I don’t judge Jalen [Green] on the past two years or even the start of this year. It was ‘How good is he going to get with us throughout this season?’ And now you see him hitting his stride and understanding,”Udoka said.
“That’s what we’re looking at big picture-wise. It’s not always going to happen overnight for guys. Patience is really important with our young guys.”
