Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 to Introduce Largest Tyranid in Upcoming Free Update

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has undoubtedly made waves since its release, signaling a significant achievement for Saber Interactive, the developer, and Focus Entertainment, the publisher. Even more than a month post-launch, the PC version of this thrilling third-person sci-fi shooter remains listed among Steam’s top 20 best-selling titles globally.

This month, Saber Interactive announced the imminent introduction of a new Operations map to Space Marine 2. In a recent YouTube video and a fresh update on the Steam page, it was disclosed that this new Operations map carries the title: Termination.

The showcased video highlights gameplay featuring clashes against the alien Tyranid hordes on the planet Kadaku, where players will encounter an imposing new adversary for the first time: the colossal Hierophant Bio-Titan.

In addition to introducing the Termination Operations map and the towering Hierophant Bio-Titan, this initial major content update for Space Marine 2 will also roll out a heightened Lethal difficulty setting for Operations mode.

Players who opted for the Gold and Ultra versions of the game can look forward to newly introduced cosmetic additions for their Space Marine character through the included Season Pass. According to Saber:

The upcoming Season Pass will feature a Dark Angels-themed pack, containing fresh weapon styles, armor pieces, and color palettes inspired by the Unforgiven, which will diversify customization options available in the Battle Barge.

Following this first update, additional exciting content is on the horizon for Space Marine 2 enthusiasts, including the introduction of a Neo-Volkite pistol, new Operations maps, additional enemies, an expanded Battle Barge feature, and the long-awaited Horde mode. Furthermore, PC gamers will soon have access to download a 4K texture pack, enhancing the game’s visual fidelity on compatible systems.
