“I know we’ve kept you waiting, but our Steam release Virtua Fighter 5 R. E.V. O.is finally coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Since Virtua Fighter 5 R. E.V. Enhanced Features and Cross-Play Capabilities

Furthermore, all platforms will utilize the rollback functionality that proved successful in the Steam version, enhancing the online gameplay experience. According to Aoki, they are committed to offering much more than just a straightforward port, hinting at additional content that will be revealed in future updates.

New Virtua Fighter Project Update

The live stream not only focused on R. E.V. O.but also provided insights on the New Virtua Fighter Project. A beloved character, Wolf Hawkfield, is set to return in this new franchise iteration. Producer Riichiro Yamada elaborated on the narrative evolution:

“In previous Virtua Fighter games, the backstories and motivations of the characters weren’t well known. This is one of the major differences between the previous games and our new game. Playing the new game will give you a much better sense of who the characters are, including their backstories and personalities.”

This initiative aims to deepen player engagement by providing clearer motivations for returning characters, including Wolf, whose wrestling passion drives his participation in the tournament. Players will uncover his journey and motivations since his last appearance.

Looking Ahead

While a release date for the new project is yet to be announced, fans can stay tuned for future updates and continued insights. The expansion and development of the Virtua Fighter franchise highlight its enduring legacy and commitment to evolving with its player community.
