Viral Photos of NewJeans’ Hanni at the National Assembly Audit: From Entrance Moments to Laptop Stickers

On Tuesday, October 15, Hanni from NewJeans attended the National Assembly audit in South Korea alongside the newly appointed CEO of ADOR, Kim Ju-young, to discuss significant concerns surrounding workplace harassment. Following the events, numerous images showcasing the idol at the audit quickly circulated on various social media channels.

Among the photos was one featuring her taking a selfie with the CEO of Hanwha Ocean, Jeong In-seop, who had been called to testify regarding the tragic deaths of five workers at the company’s site. Other notable images depicted audit members sporting NewJeans stickers on their laptops, Hanni visibly emotional during her speech, and more.

Her participation was suggested after NewJeans conducted an emergency livestream on YouTube, where Hanni shared her experiences of disrespect from staff at HYBE Labels. Thus, her presence at the assembly was not only to reiterate her previous statement but also to elaborate on issues of workplace harassment.

“During a live broadcast with my NewJeans members, I discussed an incident where a manager instructed their team to ignore me when I greeted them while getting my hair and make-up done.”

She further elaborated:

“It perplexes me why this happened to me, and why such words were exchanged in a professional setting. I felt compelled to speak up today, knowing that if I remained silent, this subject would likely be overlooked, allowing such behaviors to persist. No one, including colleagues, seniors, juniors, or trainees, should endure this.”
