Vince McMahon yelled at Becky Lynch backstage before her brawl with released WWE star

Becky Lynch has recently shared that she was scolded by Vince McMahon in Gorilla Position just before her segment with a former WWE Superstar.

At the 2019 WrestleMania 35, Lynch made history as the first woman to both headline and emerge victorious in the main event of The Show of Shows. During the same event, she also achieved the feat of becoming a double Women’s Champion. The following day on RAW, she was featured in a segment with Lacey Evans.

During an interview with Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, Becky Lynch shared that she was scolded by Vince McMahon prior to the important segment. Read her statements below:

“There were fireworks, but my internal landscape wasn’t any different. I found it one of the harder things to write about in my book. That’s the thing people want to read about it. I understand that – it’s the culmination. Then the next night I’m brought back to earth when I had to do a segment with Lacey Evans on one-hour sleep while Vince was yelling at me in Gorilla. On the flip side, there was the confidence and the cockiness I walked around with leading up to that match at WrestleMania 35.”[H/T: SI]

The Long-Running Feud between Becky Lynch and Lacey Evans Post-‘Mania

During both Money in the Bank 2019 and WWE Stomping Grounds 2019, Lynch successfully defended her RAW Women’s Title by defeating Lacey Evans. At both events, The Man forced Evans to submit, solidifying her reign as champion.

The ultimate showdown between The Man and Lacey Evans occurred at WWE Extreme Rules 2019. The highly anticipated main event was an Extreme Rules Mixed Tag Team Match where Seth Rollins and Lynch joined forces to take on Baron Corbin and Evans. This intense battle was for the Universal and RAW Women’s Titles. After an intense back-and-forth, Rollins and Lynch emerged victorious, officially putting an end to the Lynch-Evans rivalry.

The Sassy Southern Belle was let go by the global juggernaut last year after she appeared to have not connected with the audience.
