Vespoid Shell Locations Guide in Monster Hunter Wilds

During our exploration of Monster Hunter Wilds, we aimed to forge the Sonic Horn 1 (Hunting Horn) from the Vespoid tree. To our surprise, acquiring the necessary materials required three Vespoid Shells. In this guide, we will provide you with a straightforward method to locate these elusive creatures, enabling you to gather the resources needed to craft various armor and equipment.

Identifying Vespoid Locations in Monster Hunter Wilds

Vespoids are primarily found in the Scarlet Forest, particularly in Area 6 and Area 8. By examining your map in the Forest region, you will notice small purple dots indicating the presence of monsters. Navigate to these areas, use the right stick to pinpoint the Vespoids, and your mount will guide you directly to their locations. Once defeated, approach them to carve for resources. In Low Rank, Vespoids drop the following items:
- Vespoid Shell
- Vespoid Wing
- Monster Fluid
- Honey

Having first appeared in the original Monster Hunter game, Vespoids are described in Monster Hunter Wilds as “Neopterons with paralyzing poison stingers.”Their airborne nature can make them challenging adversaries unless you employ Throwing Knives or a weapon with extended reach. Alternatively, utilizing Slinger ammunition or Stones can also be effective strategies against these pests.
