The seventh season of Love is Blind brought an abundance of drama, captivating audiences who were eager to discover the romantic outcomes for the competing couples. Among them, Tim and Alex formed a connection in the pods and were poised to tie the knot in the real world. Yet, as the season progressed, their relationship began to unravel due to mounting issues.
Recently, Tim posted on his Instagram, hinting that his relationship with Alex had turned toxic and that he felt manipulated by her. In a candid interview with Vulture on October 18, 2024, Alex, a fellow contestant on Love is Blind, responded to Tim’s comments, expressing her disagreement with his portrayal of their relationship. She remarked that Tim was “tactical” in his decision to avoid discussing their conflicts in front of the cameras. Alex explained:
“Tim was very, very strategic on what he talked about in front of the camera, and I allowed that, because if he doesn’t want to share something, he doesn’t have to.”
Alex from Love is Blind discusses the dynamics of her relationship with Tim
During the interview, Alex revealed that Tim only brought up their conflicts during private discussions, away from the cameras. While she understood his reluctance to air every detail of their relationship publicly, she noted it was surprising how Tim preferred to wait until they were off-camera for difficult conversations to emerge.
According to Alex, their discussions often escalated into arguments due to their different backgrounds and perspectives. She asserted that Tim failed to recognize the importance of her opinions within their partnership. Delving into their compatibility issues, Alex stated:
“One of the fundamental issues was him recognizing that there are two voices in this relationship. It’s not solely about his perspective or preferences—it should involve both of us.”
When asked whether she would want some of their off-camera moments showcased on the show, Alex replied affirmatively, indicating that Tim’s tendency to “shut down”was a behavioral trait he inherited from his mother, as she herself acknowledged. Alex pointed out that Tim often prioritized sharing his viewpoint over understanding hers, which hindered productive communication. She elaborated:
“Frequently, our disagreements would revolve around him expressing himself without considering my thoughts or opinions. It felt one-sided. We both prefer discussing things, but I believe his approach to handling conflicts is counterproductive. And while he may send personal messages, I found them inappropriate, though nothing particularly sensitive was included. Ultimately, that’s his choice.”
Fans eager to witness the journey of Alex and Tim in Love Is Blind season 7 can stream episodes 1 through 11 exclusively on Netflix. The season finale is scheduled to air on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, followed by a highly anticipated reunion episode on October 30, 2024, at 9 PM ET.
