Vanessa Grimaldi, a former contestant on The Bachelor, recently shared heartbreaking news about her miscarriage. The 36-year-old reality star took to Instagram on Monday to announce her experience and address the uncomfortable inquiries she has faced regarding expanding her family after welcoming her son, Winston.

She included a trigger warning prior to sharing her story, recognizing that this topic could be sensitive for many.

Vanessa Grimaldi addresses miscarriage taboo

In her post, Grimaldi shared that she encountered “two biggest surprises”a few months ago: discovering her pregnancy and experiencing the subsequent miscarriage.

She detailed the numerous medical procedures she underwent, including ultrasounds, blood tests, and doctor visits. The TV personality mentioned that she often had discussions with family members, friends, and even strangers about the emotional and physical challenges associated with miscarriages.

“It was a hard yet bonding process that made me feel less alone and ultimately helped me heal,”she confided to her followers.

Grimaldi also expressed her gratitude towards those who supported her and extended encouragement to other women facing similar situations.

In the caption of her post, she highlighted how miscarriages are, unfortunately, quite common yet seldom addressed in public discourse.

“Up to one in four known pregnancies end in miscarriage, yet, it is still not talked about enough.”She added, “I feel good about sharing my story with you, but the tears still happen and the sadness still comes every now and then. And that’s okay.”

Following her announcement, many of her co-stars from Bachelor Nation expressed their support in the comments. Fellow alumni Amanda Stanton and Clare Crawley responded with heart emojis to Grimaldi’s post.
