Community Reaction

The initial feedback on Tejo’s introduction has been overwhelmingly positive, with many players noting his characteristics as a blend of existing agents, positioning him as a formidable threat on the battlefield.

Tejo’s Abilities Explained

As is customary with VALORANT agents, Tejo comes equipped with four abilities, including a powerful Ultimate. Let’s delve into each of these abilities to understand their mechanics and potential impact on gameplay:

  • Special Delivery: Tejo can deploy a sticky grenade, targeting a specific location to adhere to surfaces. After a short delay, the grenade detonates, causing a concussive effect on any enemies within range. An alternative fire option allows the grenade to bounce once before sticking.
  • Stealth Drone: This ability allows Tejo to launch a controllable drone forward. Players can maneuver the drone, and upon activation, it emits a pulse that can suppress and reveal enemies caught in its area of effect.
  • Guided Salvo: Tejo can utilize an AR targeting system to select two locations on the map. By firing the weapon, players launch missiles that will target and explode at the defined spots, making this a strategic tool for area denial.
  • Ultimate Ability: Tejo’s ultimate capability involves calling in a tactical strike. Players can pinpoint the origin of the strike, releasing a barrage of explosive projectiles at their designated target, instigating chaos among enemy ranks.

New Content: Flex

In addition to introducing Tejo, VALORANT is rolling out an innovative content feature known as Flex. This new system allows players to collect and showcase various handheld objects, paralleling the existing Spray Wheel mechanism. Players will be able to access these items through the Collections menu.

As an incentive, every player will receive a free Flex item, and an additional item will be made available in the forthcoming Act I Battlepass, facilitating further customization and flair in gameplay.
