Introducing Tejo: Valorant’s Newest Initiator

In an exciting development for fans of competitive gaming, Riot Games has unveiled a new agent for Valorant in the upcoming Season 2025 – Act 1. Meet Tejo, a Colombian professional armed with an array of drone and missile capabilities designed to enhance tactical gameplay. For a firsthand look at his abilities, be sure to watch the gameplay reveal trailer linked above.

Tejo’s Unique Abilities

The character’s skill set, renowned for its strategic versatility, includes several standout powers:

Special Delivery

EQUIP a sticky grenade. FIRE to launch the grenade, which adheres to the first surface it touches and detonates, causing a Concussion effect on any target caught in the explosion. Use ALT FIRE for an option that allows the grenade to bounce once before impact.

Stealth Drone

EQUIP a stealth drone. FIRE to deploy the drone forward, gaining direct control of its navigation. A second FIRE triggers a pulse that suppresses and reveals any enemies caught within its range.

Guided Salvo

EQUIP an AR targeting system to identify up to two map locations as targets. ALT FIRE deploys missiles that navigate autonomously to these points and detonate upon arrival.

(ULT) Armageddon

EQUIP a tactical strike map to designate the origin point of an attack. A second FIRE sets the strike’s endpoint, unleashing a wave of explosions along the specified path. ALT FIRE allows the cancellation of the starting point during this targeting phase.

What Else is Coming in Act 1?

In addition to the introduction of Tejo, Season 2025 – Act 1 will feature primarily cosmetic updates. Players can anticipate a fresh battle pass that includes both free and premium tracks, as well as a brand-new hand-held item called Flex to showcase in matches. Additionally, a new skin line named EX.O will be available to further customize characters.

Release Information

The excitement surrounding Valorant continues with the launch scheduled for January 8, 2025, across multiple platforms including PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Players should also note that Riot Games plans to shift Valorant to Unreal Engine 5. Although a specific release date for this transition has yet to be confirmed, its announcement last year suggests it may coincide with Season 2025.
