A Unique Twist: Character Added to Bases Through Kiln Redesign

Guys… I may have a problem. by u/TheFotty in valheim

Reddit user TheFotty has introduced a particularly intriguing take on the Charcoal Kiln. Their design features three Kilns situated under a roof, each adorned with distinct faces. The face to the left presents sharp red flags mimicking fangs, with Ulv trophies artistically styled as hair. The center face is characterized by blue flags in its mouth and a root protruding from its forehead, while the rightmost Kiln showcases a diamond pattern within its mouth and a Dragon Egg perched above its eyes. Each face not only has fiery eyes but also a uniquely illuminated mouth, contributing to a striking visual aesthetic.

Before this makeover, TheFotty’s Kilns resembled standard designs found throughout Valheim, complete with traditional angled Thatched roofs. The player’s artistic flair is evident not only in the Kilns’ appearances but also in the meticulous manual assembly using the game’s building tools.

As TheFotty explained, the Ulv trophies employed for the left Kiln’s hair are collectible from Ulv creatures located in the Mountain biome. These creatures inhabit Frost Caves, often accompanied by Bats and Stone Golems. Similarly, Dragon Eggs—also found in the Mountains—are essential for summoning the game’s fourth boss, Moder. The creativity of TheFotty’s Kilns has drawn comparisons to the Charred Council from Darksiders and even invoked imagery reminiscent of multiple hydra heads.
