Techland has posted another entry in the Dying 2 Know More series. An interview with one of the developers reveals new details about the city and its inhabitants in Dying Light 2.
One of the most interesting new products is the “analog dating app”, which the developers haven’t talked about yet. This has already been mentioned in one of the previous episodes, but so far only one great unknown remains.
However, judging by the wording used in the video below, you can guess that this will be something like a bulletin board. It is unknown if the player will be able to use this “feature”, because it is likely to be only a background element of the Dying Light 2 story.
DL2 World Director Thomas Gerbeau also mentioned that people living in the City are trying to create and adapt to their own “normality”. After living with the virus for so many years, this shouldn’t surprise anyone, as society has finally had to adapt to it. Interestingly, this new rhythm is about disrupting the main character of the production by making decisions during the mission.
Thomas also shared his vision for building storytelling around the world. This can be seen at every step in small details, such as, for example, graffiti. An interesting example is also a special prison, where players will be able to determine by the appearance of the prisoners why someone was there.
DL2 is slated to premiere on February 4, 2022. The game will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S.
