The new XFinity+ DDR5 memory kit stands out for its capability to showcase real-time metrics directly on the memory modules, thus eliminating the necessity for separate monitoring displays.
V-Color Teams Up with GIGABYTE to Introduce XFinity+ DDR5 Memory Kits Featuring OLED Displays Available for AMD and Intel Systems
As the trend of integrating built-in displays expands across various PC components—from cases to all-in-one (AIO) coolers—the launch of dedicated displays on memory modules marks a new milestone. V-Color has debuted the XFinity+ DDR5 memory, distinguished as the first of its kind to incorporate an OLED display, which is protected under patent M664715.

This innovative memory kit, developed in collaboration with GIGABYTE, enables users to manage the metrics shown on the memory through user-friendly software. The XFinity+ DDR5 memory can display metrics such as temperature, speed, timings, capacity, profile, and voltage by directly communicating with the motherboard, thus requiring no additional cables.

The XFinity+ memory is compatible with both AMD and Intel platforms, allowing users to conveniently overclock the modules using EXPO and XMP profiles. During demonstrations, the XFinity+ DDR5 promisingly operated at impressive speeds across various GIGABYTE platforms, such as the X870E AORUS Master X3D ICE and the Z890 AORUS Master. For the AMD setup, using a U-DIMM 24 GB x2 kit, it achieved a remarkable 9000 MT/s at CL42-56-56-127 timings. Conversely, the Intel Z890 platform managed to push the CU-DIMM 24 GB x2 memory kit to 9068 MT/s at CL42-56-56-133, both tests showcasing consistent speed stability validated by RunMemtestPro.
Intel options for the XFinity+ memory will include Intel 200S Boost certified and Extreme Overclock kits, supporting capacity up to 64 GB with speeds reaching 9066 MT/s. For AMD users, the offering will consist of Ultra Low Timing and High Performance modules, also hitting 9000 MT/s. Initial configurations feature two memory modules per kit, with only one module showcasing the OLED display; however, V-Color plans to introduce an SCC Kit 2+2 soon, which will include a Memory Kit along with an RGB filler combo.
While the specifications of the XFinity+ DDR5 memory are impressive, its built-in OLED display’s visibility may be a concern for many users. Since the display is oriented towards the front panel, it could go unnoticed in many standard cases lacking transparent panels or having pre-installed fans that obstruct visibility. Nonetheless, the XFinity+ could appeal to users with dual-sided tempered glass panels, offering a glimpse into its aesthetic features.

Ultimately, the V-Color XFinity+ is tailored for enthusiasts who desire both top-tier performance and captivating aesthetics. Set to begin mass production in Q3 2025, the XFinity+ memory kits will soon be available in various retail outlets, starting with Newegg.
